Hello! Happy fall! Let’s begin!

1. Update of my handmade creations:

Opening a small e-shop from my little, remote island has proven to take more time than I hoped...mostly silly, technical things and lots of waiting for parcels holding my materials (literally months </3), but it’s still a dream, so we’re still on the path! I’ve decided to keep the launch date a secret! Everything will be made in-house, including the packaging or collaborations with magical people of my choosing! In the meantime, please continue to admire the sneaky, little behind the scenes on my socials and I hope you will be pleasantly surprised when the sign finally reads “Open!” 

2. I moved homes!

In this time of waiting, we also changed homes! It was very hard, but we managed. It’s up in the hills and you have to climb at least 100 steps to get to the door. It’s great. I feel like I’m walking up to a temple and the art lab is where I pray. Or the kitchen when I’m making a hot beverage in the dewy mornings. :) Our neighbor is a pineapple field where Papito tries to catch pineapple mice! There are a lot of animals here, and I love that too. Lizards, big spiders, big black beetles that make Papito bonkers! It’s a small town, everyone is really nice, and they think we’re silly for living in this home. And we are. We are all silly kids, here! It takes a bit of time to make a house a home, so this is where I have been. 

3. #005

In August I was fortunate to do my first nft collaboration with a Kashmiri from the valley, Ali Shabir. Ali plays the Kashmiri Sufi-instrument, the Rabab, a string instrument kind of similar in sound to the banjo, but also very different. That’s what comes to mind anyway, and I really like it! It’s charming.

I asked Ali if he would help me make this piece, and I could tell he just wanted to make music with his rabab. :) An amazing job, the essence of it was exactly what my heart imagined it to be, and I was really happy!

I minted 005: zun shur as one edition on HEN at 350 tezos, and now we will see what comes. :) Click the image for the full description of the piece! Half of the proceeds will be donated to youth programs supporting the classic arts in Kashmir.

4. I’m a resident artist at Vertical Crypto Art! 

Back in the summer I applied to my first art residency for NFTs, which started this month, and it’s been amazing! I’m learning so much and in ways I can’t wait to share and also do my part in the community to further things along. I’m meeting a lot of really interesting people that are shaping the future of crypto and what it can do for the world. I’m happy to be here! My following mints will be associated with this residency, so that’s what I’ll be doing this winter season (expect the next big update then ;3) and I hope you like what is coming in the meantime!

Lastly, 006 has been put into the vault until I find a Kashmir santoor player. I could not imagine it any other way. I don’t know, maybe it’s crazy, because these sets take so much time to create and to wait further? But, what can I say --it’s like that! To magically appear another day! 

Oh, man! That was kind of hard to write, because it was starting to feel like things were being left in the dark!
